Volunteer Opportunities at OPHA's Annual Conference & Meeting

Are you interested in volunteering with OPHA? Volunteering is a great opportunity to learn more about our organization and gain valuable networking and leadership experience. We have a number of volunteer opportunities available for our 82nd Annual Conference and Meeting, and we're offering free conference registration to those who engage to support this exciting event!

Below are the volunteer roles we're looking to fill:

  • Poster Session Volunteer Support the in-person setup and takedown of posters before and after presentation times on Day 1 of the conference. Poster session volunteers will also help direct poster presenters to where their poster will be displayed. This position is open to students, including those presenting a poster. Total time commitment is 3-5 hours.
  • Digital Media / Photography Volunteer Help capture photos and video throughout the two-day event, and share the digital media with us afterward. A professional camera isn't required, a personal phone with a good camera works fine, though solid photography skills are preferred. Time commitment is variable.
  • CEU Credit Facilitator Facilitate the application for, collection of, and submission of CEU credits on behalf of OPHA and its members. This opportunity is virtual and open to all members. Time commitment is about 5 hours.
  • Customer Service & Logistics Volunteer Support customer service and logistics needs throughout the event, including registration, tabling for OPHA, event setup, and a variety of other onsite activities. Time commitment is 3-4 hours per volunteer.
  • Moderator Volunteer Moderate 3 session rooms over the course of the two-day event, helping keep presentations on time and facilitating audience Q&A. This opportunity is open to all members, especially seasoned moderators or those looking to build or practice their moderating skills.

Applications will close on September 18th to allow ample time to review submissions, make selections, and schedule training calls ahead of the conference, if needed.
